Heavy rain in Cambodia delays Thai border mine survey

Cambodia postpones mine survey in 7 provinces along the Thai-Cambodian border until September-October 2025 after heavy rains changed the terrain and increased mission risk, fearing that the 2030 mine-free target will be disrupted by a reduction in US budget.
Today (18 July 2025), the Khmer Times reported, citing Mr. Heng Ratana, Vice President of the Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC), that the mine survey along the Cambodian-Thai border in 7 provinces had to be postponed until September-October 2025 due to frequent heavy rains in mountainous areas, creating obstacles to accessing the area and changing the topography and geology, making it difficult to define mine zones. แทงบอล
